Restaurant: Hamburgers

Located in the picturesque town of Sausalito Hamburger’s is a local favorite and I can see why. Their store front is small and the lines form quickly and stretch down the street. They cook on a circular grill that rotates over and open flame cooking the burgers perfectly.
It gives you the Soup Nazi meets Five Guys feel with the workers calling for the next customer then once you have placed your order they banish you back to the line. It is a well oiled machine that works well and even tourists like us figured out the way it works pretty quickly.
I ordered my burger medium rare with mushrooms, onions and ketchup. Day ordered his medium with onions and ketchup. We also ordered 1 large fry to share. The line moved quickly and you can see everything being made as you make your way to the counter. As quickly as we started the process we were out the door with our food looking for a park bench to serve as our dining table and seat.
Gabrielson Park directly across the street fit the bill perfectly and we found a nice park bench overlooking the San Francisco bay with views of Belvedere, Angel and Alcatraz Islands, the Bay Bridge, and the San Francisco Skyline.
The burgers were cooked perfectly to order and the sautéed mushrooms and onions were juicy and delicious. The fries were greasy and cooked to perfection. A huge order and a greasy bag. It was a perfect meal and an idyllic location to enjoy our lunch.
