Task 03 - Go On Vacation

Task 03 - Go On Vacation with Friends

San Francisco - We were all starting to get the cranky we need a vacation personalities and after months of trying to figure out where we could go without spending way too much money we discovered a pretty good deal on Virgin America. They offered very affordable flights to the West Coast. Using expedia we also managed to get a great rate on a hotel located just steps from Fisherman's Wharf & Pier 39 with views of the San Francisco Bay

Always wanting to see the great Redwood Forests and the Golden Gate Bridge it was a perfect opportunity to visit San Francisco. With less then a month before our trip I began researching what we would want to do while we were there. There are many tour companies that operate in the Bay area and many offered combinations to see several of the city's landmarks in one day. We book two tours. Our first tour would include the Redwoods, Sausalito, and Alcatraz Island all in one day. Our second tour Would take us to wine country with stops at three different vinyards.

We decided that one of the days we would rent a car and another we would rent bikes. That covered our short but packed full days in San Francisco. I won't review all the tours here since they are reviewed in subsequent posts but I will talk about the trip as a whole.

Our flight from Boston was easy and our connection in LA was very convient. While we deboarded the plane we ended up back on the same one for the last leg to San Francisco. Pickup at SFO was a breeze as we had also booked transportation to and from the hotel and airport before arriving.

The Radisson Fisherman's Wharf hotel was clean and perfectly located and provided us a perfect spot to explore the city.

It was a great expereicne and the three of us got along great during the trip and all got to see the many things we had wanted to explore. During the exploring days by bike and car we crossed the Golden Gate Bridge, visited China Town, Coit Tower, the Palace of Fine Arts, the Japanese Tea Garden, the Castro, the Painted Ladies and Alamo Square, the Dutch Windmill, Lombard Street, and Twin Peaks,
